Joseph Molitor (politician)

Franz Joseph Molitor (* 1762 ; † after 1835) was a lawyer and notary in Langenberg, then from 1808 a government lawyer in Düsseldorf . From 1822 to 1824 he was Lord Mayor of Düsseldorf.

In July 1822, Molitor was appointed Lord Mayor of Düsseldorf, which was then part of Prussia. He succeeded Lambert Josten , who previously held the office for two years. Molitor also remained in this post for two years before Leopold Custodis succeeded him in March 1824 . In 1835 he was appointed judicial councilor.
