Wilhelm Dietze

During the revolutionary years of 1848/49 , Wilhelm Dietze was mayor of Düsseldorf and a member of the pre-parliament .

Dietze was already a pensioner when he was elected First Alderman of the City of Düsseldorf in 1848. In the same year he became mayor of the city.

Dietze then also became a member of the confidence committee and the preliminary parliament that prepared the election for the Frankfurt Paulskirche assembly .

However, he was not a member of the Paulskirche parliament and was replaced as Lord Mayor in 1849.
