Carl Haidn

Carl Haidn , also written Karl Haidn (born September 5, 1903 in Loitzendorf , Niederbayern, † August 1, 1998 in Waldkirchen ) was a German lawyer and from 1939 to early April 1945 Lord Mayor of Düsseldorf .

Life

Haidn became a member of the Cimbria Munich fraternity and the Albia academic fraternity in Vienna during his studies in 1923 . He was a doctor of law. He joined the NSDAP on March 1, 1931 and also represented Nazi positions in journalism. In 1933 he became the first mayor of the community of Waldkirchen. In 1934 Haidn was appointed to the " Reichsrechtsamt " of the NSDAP, where he worked until 1938. On August 9, 1938, Haidn came to Düsseldorf as mayor and became head of the main, legal, personnel, cultural and economic office. From December 11, 1939 to March 28, 1945 he was Lord Mayor of Düsseldorf. After the Second World War, Haidn worked as a lawyer and represented a. a. the former Gauleiter Friedrich Karl Florian in the trial of the court martial against the participants of Aktion Rheinland in court.
