Julian Eichinger (born May 7, 1991 in Füssen ) is a German ice hockey defender who has been under contract with ESV Kaufbeuren in the DEL2 since 2018 .

Career

Eichinger began his career at ESV Kaufbeuren .

From 2006 he played in the junior team of the Kölner Haie, with which he was active in the German junior league from 2006 to 2008 . In his first season at the Cologne EC Junghaie, the defender was able to win the DNL championship and, with 14 scorer points in 40 games, played a major role in this success.

In the following season, the right-handed shooter increased his points yield again and was able to score 20 times in a total of 38 games that he played. Due to the performances shown, he was called up by the Cologne Haie coaching staff during the 2008/09 season in the professional squad of the KEC. In the following years Eichinger played three DEL games in which he scored a scorer point. In the 2009/10 season he was active with a sponsorship license at EC Peiting in the major league and was also used in the junior team.

For the 2010/11 season he switched to Mosquitos Essen before he returned to his homeland in summer 2011 and signed with EV Füssen . For the 2012/13 season he made the leap into the 2nd ice hockey Bundesliga and signed a contract with the Hanover Indians . In 2013 Eichinger moved to league rivals SC Riessersee after the Hanover Indians filed for bankruptcy .

On February 25, 2014 it was announced that his contract with SC Riessersee had been extended.
