Career

In the 1999/00 season, Osterloh began his career in the ranks of the Cologne Young Sharks in the Regionalliga . The defender stayed with the young sharks for four years, playing with the team in the DNL in his last season . For the 2001/02 season Osterloh moved to SC Mittelrhein-Neuwied in the Oberliga , where he stayed for two years before signing a contract with the Straubing Tigers from the 2nd Bundesliga in the 2003/04 season .

Sebastian Osterloh has been playing in the German Ice Hockey League since the 2004/05 season , where he was initially on the ice for one season for Grizzly Adams Wolfsburg . Since Wolfsburg missed the play-offs , the left-handed shooter completed seven more games for his old club Straubing Tigers in the 2nd Bundesliga in the same season. The next DEL station in Osterloh was the Kassel Huskies , before he went to the Frankfurt Lions after their relegation , with whom he reached the DEL semi-finals in the 2007/08 season . After the Lions bankruptcy, the defender left the club and signed a one-year contract with the Straubing Tigers. In November 2010 the Straubing Tigers extended his contract by two years until 2013. In his first season in Straubing, Osterloh only played 15 games this season, as he tore a cruciate ligament on November 21, 2010 while playing in Munich. Despite the injury, he denied extra time and then competed in the longest penalty shootout in professional ice hockey history. Osterloh was involved in all three previous play-offs of the Straubing Tigers. After the 2015/16 season , Osterloh and the Straubing Tigers parted ways. For the 2016/17 season, Osterloh moved to ESV Kaufbeuren.
