Tobias Wörle (born August 1, 1984 in Füssen ) is a German ice hockey player who has been under contract with ESV Kaufbeuren in the DEL2 since 2019 .

Career

Wörle started his career with the youngsters of the ERC Lechbruck and the EV Füssen , where he went through several age groups and finally played for the senior team in the league for the first time in 2001 . After another two years in Füssen , the winger moved to the traditional club ETC Crimmitschau in the 2nd Bundesliga , with which he was relegated to the top division. In the summer of 2005, the Kassel Huskies from the German Ice Hockey League signed the left-handed shooter, who was part of the regular squad in Northern Hesse and at the end of the 2005/06 season had 50 games and eight points scorer . In addition, he came to 15 games for the ETC Crimmitschau, in which he participated in the direct return to the 2nd Bundesliga.

For the 2006/07 season the attacker was signed by the Frankfurt Lions , with whom he was able to celebrate the greatest success of his career so far in his second year, when Wörle was able to advance with the Lions to the play-off semi- finals of the DEL. In the main round he scored six goals and provided seven assists, in the playoffs against the Iserlohn Roosters and the Kölner Haie , Wörle scored one goal in twelve games. In the 2008/09 season , the left winger also played for the Lions, scoring seven goals and providing eight assists in the main round. After another year with the Lions, Wörle signed a contract with the Iserlohn Roosters for the 2010/11 season . At the club on the Seilersee , the attacker was able to improve again compared to his station in Frankfurt. In contrast to the Lions, the team could not reach the play-offs once, at the latest after the pre-play-offs they were eliminated.

After three years with the Roosters, the native of Allgäu decided to move to the Straubing Tigers , although he was offered a contract extension . In the Lower Bavaria Wörle signed a three-year contract. In his third season with Straubing, the striker's contract was terminated on November 10, 2015. On November 11, the EHC Red Bull Munich announced the move of the striker to the Upper Bavarian city.

From the 2019/20 season, Wörle will play in the DEL2 for ESV Kaufbeuren .
