Euskirchen correctional facility
The correctional facility Euskirchen , also known as Erlenhof , is located on the northern outskirts of Euskirchen in North Rhine-Westphalia and has 448 prison places. There is the only social therapeutic department in the open prison in North Rhine-Westphalia.
history
Today's JVA was established in 1920 as a facility of the Rhenish Provincial Welfare Educational Institution, later the State Youth Home Erlenhof.
Jurisdiction
The JVA Euskirchen is responsible for the execution of:
- For convicted male adults who are at large from the Cologne Higher Regional Court.
- For male prisoners (adults) -open execution- (first and regular execution).
The competencies of the penal institutions in North Rhine-Westphalia are regulated in the execution plan of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia (AV d. JM of September 16, 2003 - 4431 - IV B. 28 -).
Apprenticeships
Vocational training for prisoners is also offered in the JVA Euskirchen . There are 50 training positions available. Carriers of the training is the Berufsförderungswerk of the German Federal union . Be formed:
- Industrial mechanic
- Metal workers
- Machine assembler
- Gardening and landscaping (modular qualification)
Jobs in the prison
The JVA Euskirchen has 131 employees. The prison management consists of two employees. In addition, two clergymen , a doctor , six psychologists and four social workers are employed. The General Enforcement Service has 89 posts. The technical employees and works clerks include six people. The remaining positions are in the administration area.
