history

Houses in Kýšovice

The first written mention of Kýšovice in German literature is dated to the year 1183; Antonín Profous assumed it was first mentioned in 1367. The name of the village is derived from the family name Kýša and was Germanized in Gaischwitz as early as the 14th century . At this time the place belonged to the possessions of the Lords of Schönburg in the Hassensteiner part of the Pressnitz estates. Nikolaus von Lobkowicz was given lordship for his services in taking Hassenstein Castle in 1417 . Since 1466 there was an inheritance court in Gaischwitz. When the inheritance was divided in 1518, the property fell to Wenzel Popel von Lobkowicz. He sold the goods to his brother Wilhelm Popel von Lobkowicz in 1519. The Count Schlick acquired the property from this in 1533 , which they held until 1545. Then Gaischwitz fell to the Bohemian Chamber . In the middle of the 16th century Bohuslav Felix von Lobkowitz and Hassenstein acquired the Sonnenberg share of the Preßnitz property including Gaischwitz. In 1594 the goods belonging to the disgraced Georg Popel von Lobkowicz were confiscated. At that time Gaischwitz consisted of 10 subjects.

With the separation of the Sonnenberg share from the Hassenstein rule, Gaischwitz was attached to the Preßnitz rule ( Přísečnice ) in 1606 . In the course of time, the privileges of the Gaischwitzer erbrichters were extended and at the beginning of the 17th century included the brewing right, the beer bar, the catering, the practice of handicrafts, the slaughter and the baking right. In addition, the village of Zobietitz was subordinate to the Gaischwitz judge. In the berní rula of 1654 eleven farmers, one carter and three Chalupner are shown for Gaischwitz. The school and parish location was the mountain town of Sonnenberg. In the course of raabization in 1777, the land was distributed to the subjects for a fee. In 1798 the Bohemian Chamber bought the inheritance court and subsequently leased it. In 1800 there were 157 people in the village.

After the abolition of patrimonial Gaischwitz, including the Flecklmühle located in the valley of the Brunnersdorfer Bach, formed from 1850 a district of the municipality of Zobietitz / Sobětice in the Kaaden district administration . In 1906 the village was assigned to the new Preßnitz district. The Czech name Kýšovice has been in use since 1923.

According to the Munich Agreement , the village was added to the German Reich in 1938 and until 1945 belonged to the Preßnitz district , the dissolution of which was announced in 1939, but was not carried out until the end of the Second World War. As part of the municipality of Zobietitz, Gaischwitz should fall to the Komotau district . After the end of the war, Kýšovice returned to Czechoslovakia and the German residents were expelled . In 1947 only 41 people lived in the 27 houses in Kýšovice. In 1951 Kýšovice was incorporated into Výsluní together with Sobětice . In 1959 the chapel and numerous uninhabited houses were torn down. At the beginning of 1979 Kýšovice, which was now completely uninhabited, lost its status as a district. Since 1999, Kýšovice is again officially registered as a district of Výsluní. In the 1980, 1991, 2001 and 2011 surveys, the village had no permanent residents.
