history

View of part of Sobětice

The first written mention of Sobětice was in 1367 as part of the Hassensteiner share of the Preßnitz estate. At that time the owners were the lords of Schönburg . The name of the village, laid out as a round , is derived from Sobata . According to a legend, the place goes back to a village Brommendorf originally located near Sebastiansberg , which was later abandoned. However , there is no evidence for the existence of Brommendorf ; possibly this settlement was on the Zobietitz corridors near Sebastiansberg.

In 1417, Nikolaus von Lobkowicz was enfeoffed for his services in taking Hassenstein Castle. Since 1466 the Gaischwitzer Erbrichter exercised the lower jurisdiction over Zobietitz. When the inheritance was divided in 1518, the property fell to Wenzel Popel von Lobkowicz. He sold the goods to his brother Wilhelm Popel von Lobkowicz in 1519. The Count Schlick acquired the property from this in 1533 , which they held until 1545. Then Zobietitz fell to the Bohemian Chamber . In 1555 Bohuslav Felix von Lobkowitz and Hassenstein received the rule of Hassenstein as a pledge. He bought several villages of the Pressnitz estate from the chamber property, including Zobietitz, and formed the Sonnenberg share from them. In 1594, the disgraced Georg Popel von Lobkowicz's possessions were confiscated. With the separation of the Sonnenberger share from the rule Hassenstein, the village of Zobietitz, consisting of 14 properties, was attached to the rule Preßnitz in 1606. Around 1640, Swedish troops burned Zobietitz down to one house. The village was rebuilt very soon. In the berní rula from 1654, 14 farms and two chalets are designated for Zobietitz, ten farms were managed. The school and parish location was the mountain town of Sonnenberg. There was a chapel in the village square. To the west of the village, hematite was mined in the St. Wenceslas colliery until 1849 . In 1847 163 people lived in the village's 24 houses.

After the abolition of patrimonial Zobietitz / Sobětice formed from 1850 with the district Gaischwitz and the Flecklmühle and Zobietitzer Brettmühle located in the valley of the Brunnersdorfer Bach a municipality in the district administration Kaaden . In 1906 the village was assigned to the new Preßnitz district.

According to the Munich Agreement , the municipality was added to the German Reich in 1938 and until 1945 belonged to the Preßnitz district , the dissolution of which was announced in 1939, but not carried out until the end of the Second World War. Zobietitz should fall to the Komotau district . In 1939 the community had 210 inhabitants. After the end of the war, Sobětice came back to Czechoslovakia and the German residents were expelled . In 1947 the Okres Přísečnice was dissolved and Sobětice was added to the Okres Chomutov . In 1951 Sobětice was incorporated into Výsluní . In 1959 the chapel and numerous uninhabited houses were torn down. In the 1970, 1980 and 1991 surveys, Sobětice had no permanent residents. At the beginning of 1979 the village therefore lost its status as a district. Since 1999 Sobětice is again officially run as a district of Výsluní.
