history

The first written mention of the Hochtann settlement, which belonged to the Hassenstein lordship , was in 1367. The owners of the place were the lords of Schönburg at that time . The place was subsequently also referred to as Hohenthannen and Hohenthan . In 1417, Nikolaus von Lobkowicz was enfeoffed for his services in taking Hassenstein Castle.

In the Platzer church chronicle there is the story that some Platzer citizens, who had lost their belongings during the Hussite Wars , moved to the Hohe Tanne and built seven houses there. This may have expanded the settlement.

In 1518 the lords of Lobkowicz shared an estate with Wenzel Popel von Lobkowicz. He sold the goods to his brother Wilhelm Popel von Lobkowicz in 1519. The Count Schlick acquired the property from this in 1533 , which they held until 1545. After that the property fell to the Bohemian Chamber . In 1555 Bohuslav Felix von Lobkowitz and Hassenstein received the rule of Hassenstein as a pledge. He bought several villages of the Pressnitz estate from the chamber property. In 1594, the disgraced Georg Popel von Lobkowicz's possessions were confiscated. In 1606 Rudolf II enfeoffed Leonhard von Steinbach with the rule of Hassenstein. Its goods were confiscated after the Battle of White Mountain and pledged to Jaroslav Bořita von Martinic in 1623 . After Hassenstein Castle was abandoned, Hohentann became part of the Hagensdorf rule . In the berní rula of 1654, 15 properties are shown for Hohentann, in 1743 there were 23. From 1773 the village belonged to the unified Hagensdorf- Brinnersdorf rule . At that time there were also some shoemakers and weavers based in Hohentann. Hohentann was always parish for the branch church and later for the parish church in Platz. The school location was also space. Gorlnäherei was operated at home.

After the abolition of patrimonial Hohentann formed a community in the judicial district Komotau or Komotau district . In 1898 the connecting road from Hagensdorf to Zollhaus was inaugurated. In 1930 the village had only German residents and consisted of 28 houses. After the Munich Agreement , the community was added to the German Reich in 1938 and belonged to the Komotau district until 1945 . After the end of the war, Hohentann returned to Czechoslovakia and the German residents were expelled . Since the end of the war, Hohentann was administered together with Místo by a joint local national committee. In 1951 it was incorporated into Místo. On April 25, 1952, the previous place name was transferred to Czech and the village was named Vysoká Jedle . In 2001 the village consisted of 9 houses in which 14 people lived.
