Kamilla Senjo (* 1. November 1974 in Mukachevo , Ukrainian SSR , Soviet Union ) is a German radio - and television journalist and television presenter . Germany-wide notoriety she gained with the moderation of ARD - Boulevard magazine Brisant .

Life

Kamilla Senjo was born in Mukachevo, western Ukraine , in 1974 . Her father is Hungarian , her mother half Ukrainian, half German . At the age of five, she and her family moved to Leipzig in the GDR . After graduating from high school , Senjo studied German and journalism at the University of Leipzig . During her studies she worked for the university radio . Finally, she completed a traineeship at the radio station Radio Leipzig and then worked as a news anchor. In 2003 she was selected at a casting as a news anchor for MDR aktuell . Due to her language skills, she was also employed as an author of foreign reports for the MDR and for arte . From 2004 she moderated the Eastern Europe magazine Auf Gute Nachbarschaft on MDR television and later the international magazine Windrose . In October 2010 she was accepted into Brisant's team of moderators , initially as a pregnancy substitute for Mareile Höppner , with whom she has moderated the television magazine on a weekly basis since January 2013. Since April 2013 Senjo has also been leading the MDR magazine Today in the East , and since February 2014 she has also been part of the MDR moderation team at 2 .

In the 2019 film drama Just with You , which made Vanessa Mai's film debut alongside Axel Prahl , she played a presenter who interviews an aspiring young singer.
