The canton of Gemünden was an administrative unit in the Marburg district of the Werra department in the Napoleonic Kingdom of Westphalia . The seat of the canton administration was the city of Gemünden in today's Waldeck-Frankenberg district .
The canton comprised 19 villages and hamlets and a city, had 4,588 inhabitants and an area of 2.98 square miles .
