Kappelshamn is a place ( Swedish småort ) on the Swedish island of Gotland .

history

Kappelshamn is located in the north of Gotland on the west coast, 37 km northeast of Visby , 15 km north of Slite , 17 km northeast of Tingstäde and 16 km west of Fårösund .

In Kappelshamn there is a guest harbor , a restaurant, a sports field with a campsite and a beach. The Kappelshams IK football club plays on the Snäckersvallen sports field . The Gotland Ring motorsport railway is located near Kappelshamn, three km to the east as the crow flies, but separated by the Kappelshamnviken bay .

Attractions

On the Bläse kalkbrottet – Bläse hamnen railway line in the Bläse kalkbruksmuseum , visitors can take the museum train to retrace the path of broken lime around the turn of the 20th century.
