Karl Friedrich Wilhelm Herrosee

Karl Friedrich Wilhelm Herrosee (born July 31, 1754 in Berlin ; † January 8, 1821 in Züllichau ) was a German hymn poet .

Life

The son of a Huguenot family studied in Frankfurt an der Oder from 1775 to 1777 . For a short time he was vicar in Dresden ; assistant preacher in Berlin ; 1788 court and castle preacher in Züllichau on the Oder . He later became superintendent . Herrosee founded a school, the Daughters School , and taught there and at the pedagogy and teachers' seminar .
