Karl Friedrich von Wolffersdorff
Karl Friedrich von Wolffersdorff (* July 6, 1716 in cell ; † May 6, 1781 in Haus Ostholz near Hamm ) was a Prussian lieutenant general , governor of Ziesar and Drost of Altena and Iserlohn .
Life
origin
Karl Friedrich was allegedly the son of the Electorate Lieutenant Colonel and Canon of Merseburg Karl August von Wolffersdorf († December 20, 1746 in Scherbitz ) and his wife Christiane Erdmunthe, born von Tümpling from the Posewitz family (November 9, 1690; † 1741). According to the church book entry, however, his parents were the manor owner of the little monastery and cell, Hans Karl von Wolffersdorf, and Dorothea Sophia Katharina von Trützschler, who had been married since 1708. Caroline Sophie von Römer b. von Wolffersdorff (1710–1778) was his older sister.
Military career
Wolffersdorff was initially in the service of the Electorate of Saxony from 1733 , rose to lieutenant colonel and took part in the Seven Years' War . After the surrender of the Saxons at Pirna , he was on 24 November 1756 , Colonel in the former Saxon Regiment "of Hauß" no. 6 in the Prussian Army adopted. In the further course of the war he distinguished himself in August 1759 in the defense of Torgau and was wounded in the battle of Kunersdorf .
After the war Wolffersdorff was garrison commander of the regiment on foot in Hamm . On 31 July 1763 King appointed him Frederick II. The chief of the "Jung-Schenckendorff" Infantry Regiment and promoted him simultaneously to Major General . 1768 Frederick the Great gave him the for home fallen declared House Ostholz in Hamm. He found his final resting place in the cemetery of the Protestant parish church of St. Pankratius in Hamm-Mark.

Wolffersdorff married Luise Wolfgang. The following children were born from the marriage:

- Karl Wilhelm August (born November 21, 1777 in Hamm; † April 11, 1850), retired lieutenant colonel. D.
