Kempter Wald (municipality-free area)

Location of the community-free area "Kempter Wald" in the Oberallgäu district

The community-free area of Kempter Wald is located in the Swabian district of Oberallgäu in Bavaria . The area with an area of 12.03 km² borders the municipalities of Betzigau , Durach and Oy-Mittelberg . In the east the area borders on the Ostallgäu district with the towns of Görisried , Unterthingau and Kraftisried . The highest point is the Knollerhag at 956 meters. In the south lies the Bodelsberg military training area ( Görisried-Ochsenhof ready position ). The district road OA 11 leads through the area for a short distance.
