Kill The Buzz (real name: Adithya Nanuru; born October 9, 1987 ) is a Dutch music producer and DJ from Breda . He has been under contract with Revealed Recordings since 2012, with label founder Hardwell he co-headlined for years on tours and festivals around the world. So he had appearances a. a. at Tomorrowland , Ultra Music Festival and Electric Daisy Carnival . His productions are in the Progressive House area and have received support from great DJs such as David Guetta , Quintino and Benny Benassi .

Career

Childhood & encounter with Hardwell

Nanuru grew up musically. As a child he learned various musical instruments from recorder to trumpet to piano. He also played drums in a marching band and in the school band. After graduating from school, he attended music college , which he dropped out after a year. He also left the cover band, in which he was playing keyboard at the time, because he wanted to devote more of his time to self-written music.

When he went to the gig with his work colleague at T-Mobile , who was also resident DJ at Escape Club Amsterdam , the first meeting came with Hardwell, who also played there. After another encounter in their hometown Breda, he was invited by Hardwell to accompany him to his shows. From 2006 Kill The Buzz acted as a kind of tour manager on a friendly basis for the then still aspiring star DJ and toured with him for three years through the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany. Since both spent a lot of time in the studio together, Hardwell directed him to music production and gave him the appropriate software and other utensils. Kill The Buzz experimented with them and developed his own sound.

Breakthrough & productions as "Kill The Buzz"

Hardwell promoted his first bootlegs by showcasing them on his Hardwell On Air podcast , and were picked up by national radio stations. Kill The Buzz's breakthrough came in 2012 with his first own track Party Hard , which was performed by Hardwell on the Tomorrowland main stage and released on his label Revealed Recordings . Since Nanuru did not yet have a stage name, it reached number one as " ID " on the DMC World Buzz Charts and it was rumored that it was a collaboration between Hardwell and Tiësto . Since this was not the case, he had to "destroy this rumor" with publication, which translates into English as "kill the buzz" and has been his stage name ever since. A little later he started himself as a DJ in the Brooklyn Club in Breda and was officially signed to Revealed Recordings.

He established himself in the EDM scene with other productions under Revealed such as Life Is Calling . His collaboration with Tom Swoon All The Way Down reached number 1 on the Beatport charts, the track Once Upon A Time was viewed over 5 million times on Spotify . He also remixed the song Want To Want Me by Jason Derulo , having this in Las Vegas met.

On tour with Hardwell

At the same time he played together with Hardwell on his I Am Hardwell world tour , the Revealed Recordings North American Bus Tour and was a regular support act at his residences in Hakkasan Las Vegas or Ushuaïa Ibiza. His biggest appearances include the finals of the United We Are world tour at the Hockenheimring as well as the record shows of the World Club Dome Winter Edition in the Veltins-Arena in Gelsenkirchen and the World's Biggest Guestlist Festival in Mumbai . At these events he performed in front of 40,000–80,000 visitors. He also had solo appearances at festivals such as Electric Daisy Carnival UK, New Horizons , The Flying Dutch, World Club Dome, Creamfields and Tomorrowland. In particular, it is an integral part of the line-up on revealed stages at major festivals such as 7th Sunday or Ultra and their label nights such as the Cologne boathouse . He also mixed four episodes of Revealed Radio (# 8, # 65, # 97, # 126).

The first joint track with Hardwell came in 2017: After Hardwell had already played an edit of his track Break The House Down in his sets, the collaboration Still The One was released on Hardwell & Friends EP # 2 .

Style & personal

His childhood was shaped by the hardstyle and hardcore scenes that dominated the Netherlands. His first contact with EDM was through Daft Punk . In particular the DVD Tiësto in Concert in the Gelredome Arnhem aroused his interest in trance and dance music. Overall, his music style covers large areas of electronic dance music, from progressive house to electro house to big room. In the course of his career he put more focus on vocals and melodic sounds alongside his club songs. With greater influence from pop music , his style developed in a more commercial direction. He himself attaches great importance to “women-friendly” house music. He cites Galantis , Pharrell Williams , Ne-Yo and Timbaland as role models .

His first name suggests Indian roots, his parents actually come from Indonesia.

He worked in several clothing stores, which started his interest in fashion.

In addition to his career as a DJ, he obtained a bachelor's degree in Commercial Economics at the Hogeschool Rotterdam in 2018.
