The core of the hall church dates from the late 12th century, although some parts of it were estimated to be in the year 989. The church is a fortified church , recognizable by the loopholes and the courtyard wall, which is still partially preserved today . The rectangular choir was enlarged in the 14th century. Like the choir, the rectangular nave is covered with a gable roof. There is an annex for the sacristy on the south side of the choir . The massive church tower in the west has a square floor plan . He has biforias on all sides. Its slate-covered , octagonal top is crowned by a hood .

The choir has a vault inside , which rests on three consoles on the north and south sides . The central keystone is shaped as an image of Christ . Is located on the north wall of the chorus, a tabernacle of 1489, that of pinnacles flanked and an ogee with a finial is flashed. A triumphal arch separates the choir from the flat-roofed nave. The ground floor of the tower is barrel vaulted . The nave has two-story galleries on the south and north sides.

A pulpit altar also belongs to the church furnishings . In 1994, remnants of wall paintings were uncovered in the choir room during renovation work . They show St. Nicholas and two other male figures. Behind the prospectus from the 18th century is the organ . It has 12 registers , divided into 2 manuals and a pedal , and was built by Wiegand Helferbein in 1926.
