The Klausner Hut ( Italian Rifugio Chiusa al Campaccio ) is a refuge in the eastern Sarntal Alps in South Tyrol . It is located at an altitude of 1923 m slm on the unwooded slope south of the Lorenzispitze . Klausner cottage is not to be confused with Klaus hut in the Bavarian Alps .
Increase opportunities
The hut can be reached from Latzfons in about 2½. The ascent can be shortened to 1½ hours by approaching the Kühhof ( 1550 m ) or Steinben ( 1544 m ) car parks to the north or north-west above Latzfons .
Tour possibilities
The following summit ascents are available from the hut:
- Lorenzispitze (2483 m), 1½ hour
- Kassianspitze (2581 m), 2 hours
- Plankenhorn (2543 m), 2 hours
- Königsangerspitze (2436 m), 2½ hours
The following transitions to other huts are possible:
- Schutzhaus Latzfonser Kreuz (2305 m), just under 1 hour
- Flaggerschartenhütte (2481 m), 5½ hours
- Radlseehütte (2284 m), 2 hours
- Rittner Horn House (2260 m), 4–5 hours
The hut is on the path of the so-called Sarntal Horseshoe Tour , which crosses the east and west ridge of the Sarntal Alps in six to seven days.
history
In front of the refuge there was an alpine hut called Kompatsch . The Klausen farmer Moar zu Viersch burned mountain pine oil here . In 1908 the Klausen section of the DuÖAV acquired the house with 27.8 hectares of land and converted the alpine hut into a refuge, although much of the original hut was preserved. In 1923 the Klausen section was expropriated; today the hut is operated by the Bozen section of the CAI . In 1963 the road to the hut was built.
