Kleinröhrsdorf is a district of the Saxon town of Großröhrsdorf in the Bautzen district . The village extends over an area of ​​about 7.3 km² and was an independent municipality until December 31, 1997.

The Waldhufendorf Kleinröhrsdorf is located southwest of Großröhrsdorf on the western edge of the Lausitzer Platte and belongs to its natural area. The Große Röder flows through the village, to the south there is the Wallroda dam , which is fed by the Steinbach .

The Kleinröhrsdorf stop is on the Kamenz – Pirna railway line . In terms of passenger transport, it is served by the Saxony urban railway. The trains run on the route Dresden - Langebrück (Sachs) - Radeberg - Kleinröhrsdorf - Großröhrsdorf - Kamenz (Sachs) . The bus line 305 of the regional traffic Dresden serves several stops in town. Kleinröhrsdorf is located south of the state road 158 from Radeberg to Großröhrsdorf. The district road 9254 leads directly through the village, on it you get to Wallroda or Leppersdorf. The Bundesautobahn 4 can be reached via the interchanges Pulsnitz (approx. 5.5 km) or Ohorn (approx. 9 km).

The place was first mentioned in 1350 as Rudigersdorf (locator Rüdiger). The name of the village has changed several times over the centuries. For example, czu cleinen Rudigerstorff (1445), Wenige Rudigerstorff , Rudigerßdorff (1495), Cleynruerßdorff (1517), Klein Rorßdorff (1616) and Klein Roehrsdorf (1791) have survived .

In the immediate vicinity of the place a bigger was until about 1680 stud (then known as Stuterei referred that there was road leading Stut [s] away called) in which every summer Electoral horses were housed. The property belonged to the electoral forester's house, the so-called Hegereiterei .

A village teacher is first mentioned in 1571. The construction of a school building was handed down for the year 1874. This was replaced by a new building in 1903. Since 1970 Kleinröhrsdorf has been integrated into the Großröhrsdorf school area.

In records from the 19th century, two mills are listed within the village on the Große Röder. It was the so-called cutting or board mill in the upper village and a grinding mill further downstream.

Until 1875, Kleinröhrsdorf was part of the administration or the Radeberg office, after which it was part of the Dresden administration . In the GDR , the place belonged to the Bischofswerda district from 1952 . In the course of district reforms, the administration moved to the Kamenz district in 1994 and to the Bautzen district in 2008 .

During the GDR era there was a company holiday home for the workers and members of the VEB Schaltelektronik Oppach in an inn .

Numerous historical half-timbered houses have been preserved in the town center, for example the smithy (re. 1830) and the former inn Erbgericht (re. 1794).

The surrounding walls of the small village church in Kleinröhrsdorf date back to the 14th century. The rectangular hall structure is of a tile-covered gabled roof octagonal, verschiefertem skylights covered. Pulpit (with a wooden relief of the Trinity underneath) and baptismal font were made in the 16th century.

In the year 1551, 19 possessed men, 1 house owner, 25 residents and 16 hooves are recorded in the chronicle of the place . For 1764 the records show 20 possessed men, 5 gardeners, 14 cottagers and 16 3/4 hooves .

In the 1990s, a housing estate with around 100 single and two-family houses was built on the northern edge of the village. This nearly doubled the population of the place.

economy

In 1830 the half-timbered house of the Kleinröhrsdorf smithy was built. Since then, the company has been owned by the Miersch family, who have been running the forge in the same building since then. Furthermore, various craft businesses are located in the village.

societies

A marching band has existed in Kleinröhrsdorf since 1971 . The club rooms are housed in the old municipal office. In the 1970s, the minstrels won the title of district champion several times and hosted the GDR championships. In the decades that followed, different trains formed and took part in various competitions. In 2001, the Kleinröhrsdorfer Spielmannszug hosted the 11th state championships of the State Music and Minstrel Association of Saxony e. V.

The Kleinröhrsdorf volunteer fire brigade was founded in 1933. Before that there had been a compulsory fire brigade since 1768. The fire brigades of Klein- and Großröhrsdorf were merged in 2006 to form the Großröhrsdorf city fire department. There is also a bowling club, a youth club and the Kleinröhrsdorf development association.

The Große Röder flows straight through the village towards Wallroda. The so-called water meadows stretch on both sides of the river between the former board mill and the entrance to Großröhrsdorf . Until the 16th century, the Röder was dammed here by a dam.

To the west of the village is the Massenei nature reserve . The Niederforst is located in the Kleinröhrsdorf forest district . The long wing , an approx. Eight kilometer long forest path , which connected the forest area with the Landwehr near Wachau, leads through this . Around the town there is a twelve-kilometer circular hiking trail, which was set up with the help of the Kleinröhrsdorf Association.

South of Kleinröhrsdorf is the Wallroda dam with recreational opportunities such as a campsite , mini golf , fishing and bathing opportunities.

The Gut Heinrichshof riding facility opened in 2002 on a four-sided farm in Kleinröhrsdorf . The equestrian center has a riding arena as well as a dressage, a lunging and a jumping arena on the outside area. A network of bridle paths connects to the farm.
