Koslowka ( Russian Козловка , Chuvash Куславкка / Kuslawkka) is a city in the Republic of Chuvashia ( Russia ) with 10,359 inhabitants (as of October 14, 2010).

geography

The city is located about 95 km southeast of the republic capital Cheboksary on the right bank of the Volga , opposite the city of Wolschsk ( Republic of Mari El ).

Koslowka is the administrative center of the Rajons of the same name .

history

The village of Kozlovka was known before the 19th century, received urban-type settlement status in 1938 and town charter in 1967.
