Krauthausen is a small town in the southern Aachen district of Brand . It belonged to the parish of St. Stephan auf dem Berg until 1804 . From 1804 to 1935 Krauthausen was part of the former municipality of Büsbach . With their incorporation to Stolberg, the place was detached from the community association. Until 1972, when it was incorporated into the city of Aachen, it belonged to the former municipality of Brand .

To the east of the village of Krauthausen in the Münsterland region , the Stolberg district of Dorff is one kilometer away . In the north, friend , south Kornelimünster , both Aachen neighborhoods. The Inde runs west of Krauthausen .
