Crooked Laake
The Krumme Laake - often also called Krumme Lake - is a swamp area with residual lake in a bog channel of the Berlin glacial valley .
The Krumme Laake originally had a connection to the Müggelspree river system, which was later silted up . Together with the neighboring Pelzlaake , it formed a nature reserve established in 1927 with the lake called Krumme Lake .
The Krumme Laake / Pelzlaake nature reserve is located in the Müggelheim district of Berlin and is part of the Müggelspree European bird sanctuary . However, it is not identical to the NSG Krumme Lake near Berlin-Grünau .
