Kurt Wenkhaus

Kurt Wenkhaus (born September 10, 1891 in Berlin as Curt Wilhelm Franz Ferdinand Wenkhaus ; † December 22, 1965 there ) was a German actor .

Life

Kurt Wenkhaus, son of the businessman Ferdinand Wenkhaus, attended the Luisenstädtische Realgymnasium in Berlin-Prenzlauer Berg and then took lessons at the Royal Theater . In 1911 he made his debut in Aachen and then played on the stages in Halberstadt , Flensburg , Bromberg and Bonn . In 1921 he was eight o'clock in the silent film . The secret of the Delta Club starred, which was followed by several feature films. He worked as an actor and director at the Mecklenburg State Theater in Schwerin and taught at the drama school there. From the beginning of the 1950s he played at the Deutsches Theater in Berlin and had a teaching post at the Humboldt University in Berlin . Furthermore, Kurt Wenkhaus often worked in television and radio play productions.

The well-known child actor Rolf Wenkhaus was his son.
