The scattered houses Lämmerbichl are located on the Sonnhang, the left side of the valley, the Salzach Valley, below the Pass Thurn and the Resterhöhe  ( 1894  m above sea level ) of the Kitzbühel Alps . The western locations in the valley belong to Hollersbach, those out of the valley to Mittersill.

The two localities together comprise around 50 buildings with around 140 inhabitants (as of 2001), of which a little more are in the Hollersbach municipality. The town area extends from the place Rettenbach and the trench of the Save Bach , salzach upwards on the slopes on both sides of Einödbachs until Grubing , just north of the village Hollerbach. The Sonnberghof inn (Mittersill) and the Speckerhaid and Torlehen (Hollersbach) estates are also located in the locality . At Grubing, the local area extends into the Salzachtalboden on the B 165 (Gerlos Straße) - but it does not include Einödberg Castle (Rettenbach).

history

In 1936, as part of the unification of Mittersill-Markt and -Land, some areas of Lämmerbichl were ceded to Hollersbach. 1939–45, when large communities were constructed all over Austria after the annexation, Hollersbach was then completely incorporated into Mittersill.
