Felberthal is a cadastral municipality in the Mittersill municipality in the Zell am See district in Oberpinzgau in the Salzburg region .

geography

The cadastral area encompasses the entire Felbertal - Amertal valley , and stretches from the Salzach valley near Mittersill over 16.8 kilometers south into the Hohe Tauern ( Venediger group in the west, Granatspitz group in the east).

These include the entire village of Unterfelben , which occupies the lower right side of the valley of the Felbertal and the Amertal, and parts of Oberfelben , which includes the left side of the valley and the Felber Hintertal - but also mountain areas of the right (southern) Salzach valley.
In the cadastral community are the scattered houses of Oberfelben and Unterfelden , the hamlet of Gugg , the Rotte Guggenbichl , the individual layers Amerthal , Bam, Großbruck , Gasthof Gamsblick , Gasthof Haidach, Maut, Mong, Schiederhof , Tauernhaus  Spital and Gasthof Taimeralm , as well as the Wolframwerk . Mountain huts are the Amerseehütte and the Sankt Pöltner Hütte (on the border).

At alpine pastures you will find the Glanzalm, Haidbach-Grundalm, -Hochalm, Hiasenastl, Hinterseealm, Karrieglalm, Ehrenfeuchtenalm (Unter- and Oberehrenfeuchten), Erlbachalm, Meilingeralm, Ödalm, Pembachalm, Reiteralm, Santen-Grundalm and -Hochalm, Schachernalm, Schößwendalm , Tanzlehenalm Taxeralm, Vorderalm, Wager Alm .

The cadastral community covers over 80.5 km², between the peaks Pihapper  ( 2513  m above sea level ) and Zwölferkogel  ( 2446  m above sea level ) in the north, and Tauernkogel  ( 2988  m above sea level ) and ( Großem ) Landeckkogel  ( 2900  m above sea level ) in the south.
