Löhnhorst is a village in the municipality of Schwanewede in the Osterholz district in Lower Saxony . The location Hohehorst belongs to the village .

geography

The place is located southeast of the town of Schwanewede, not far from the southern city boundary to Bremen-Vegesack in the core area of Bremen Switzerland .

history

Löhnhorst is an old farming village that belonged to the Blumenthal district from the middle of the 19th century until 1932 . Only in 1882 did the community get a road connection to Burglesum and Schwanewede.

In 1869 the manor house Hohehorst in Bremen Switzerland was built on the "Gut Hohehorst" in the English style. The northeastern Gut Karlhorst and the northern Gut Heidhof also belonged to the overall complex.

education

Löhnhorst already had its own school in a rented room in 1782. A community schoolhouse was built between 1830 and 1835, but it quickly became dilapidated. The new building erected in 1885 was used until the school closed. The building is now used by the Löhnhorst volunteer fire department and as a village community center (position) . In 1996, the primary schools in the Beckedorf and Löhnhorst districts, threatened with closure, merged and founded the Wiesenschule in Beckedorf. In addition to Löhnhorst and Beckedorf (apart from the localities of Wölpsche and Schwankenfurth), the district of Leuchtenburg also belongs to school district V of Schwanewede .
