The Lada Priora was a family of vehicles from the Russian car manufacturer AwtoWAS . It was produced from March 2007 to 2018 and was also offered in Germany until July 2014, at prices from 8500 euros (2009). The only engine is a 1.6-liter petrol engine with 72 kW (98 PS) and 145 Nm, which initially complies with the Euro 4 standard and since 2011 the Euro 5 standard. Consumption is given as 6.3 l / 100 km. Alternatively, a variant with LPG drive is also available. The Priora is the brand's first vehicle to have an anti-lock braking system .

On June 27, 2011, the manufacturer AwtoWAS announced that the Lada Priora would soon be available with a new engine variant. The Otto engine should have 90 hp and be 39 percent lighter than the engine of the base model. The new engine should also be more durable and achieve a mileage of up to 200,000 km.

On August 4, 2011, the imminent introduction of a new model variant was announced that will be powered by both gasoline and natural gas . The model is to be called Lada Priora CNG . The petrol tank should hold 43 liters and the four gas tanks a total of 96 liters. The maximum range with petrol should be 580 km and with natural gas 330 km.

As of May 16, 2012, 650,000 vehicles of this model were produced.

In 2014 the import to Germany was stopped.

  • In 2011 LADA Tolyatti discontinued the notchback variant for Europe. From mid-2011, the entry-level model Lada Priora Pur with less equipment was offered on the German market for a price of 8900 euros.
