Lambert Pancratz

Johann Lambert Sigismund Caspar Joseph Pancratz (born March 4, 1800 in Friesoythe , † March 1, 1871 in Oldenburg ) was a German politician in the Grand Duchy of Oldenburg .

Life

Lambert Pancratz came from a family of civil servants from the Oldenburger Münsterland . He was the son of the regional court assistant Caspar Heinrich Joseph Pancratz (* 1768) and his wife Bernhardine Clementine, née. Hammer (1776-1843). After attending grammar school in Münster, he studied law at the Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität Münster , the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg and the Georg-August-Universität Göttingen . Since 1819 he was a member of the Corps Guestphalia Heidelberg . In the Oldenburg state service since 1823, he was an official auditor in Tettens , Brake , Rodenkirchen and Oldenburg. From 1835 he was initially a bailiff in Abbehausen , then later from 1838 in Steinfeld near Dinklage . In 1850 he became a member of the chamber council and in 1857 he became a member of the government . In 1860 he was promoted to the Upper Government Council.

Pancratz was one of the first parliamentarians in Oldenburg. He was already a member of the assembly of the 34 and then also a member of the constituent state parliament of Oldenburg, which he chaired after an election on January 17, 1849 as president until February 14 of that year. Thus Pancratz sat as a member of the Oldenburg Landtag as early as 1848–1860 and 1863–1869. From 1849–1853, 1854–1860 and 1863–1869 he served as its vice-president. In May 1869, Pancratz was retired with the title Council of State.

family

Pancratz was married twice. His first wife, Anna Sibilla Franziska Kreimborg (* 1809), the daughter of Dr. med. Heinrich Joseph Kreimborg and Maria Anna Bernhardina geb. Farwick, he married on July 29, 1834 in Vechta. After her death, on October 2, 1838 in Oldenburg, he married Agnes Bothe (1818–1879), the daughter of the bailiff Friedrich Bothe (1788–1866) and Maria Gesine Elisabeth born. Pollitz († 1820). From these marriages came two sons and two daughters, of whom Maria Agnes Bernhardine (1847-1924) married the Oldenburg Lord Mayor Diedrich Gerhard Roggemann (1840-1900). One son is Alexander Pancratz .
