The family of the Barons von Langen is a mail aristocratic family who were wealthy in Western Pomerania and Mecklenburg-Schwerin .

Carl-Friedrich von Langen

Friedrich Lang, merchant and banker in Stettin , around 1690 imperial representative (agent) in the city, was raised to the imperial nobility on January 12, 1706 by Emperor Joseph I. Then he said goodbye and acquired the fiefdoms of Üselitz and Grabow on Rügen . His grandson Johann Carl von Langen leased the Belitz , Neukirchen and Boldenstorf estates in Mecklenburg in 1755 and acquired them in 1774. The Fideicommiss Parow was founded in 1776 by Friedrich Franz von Langen with his half-brother, the royal Swedish captain Carl Franz Gustav von Sodenstern . The Fideicommiss Üselitz and Grabow on Rügen was donated in 1789 by Johann Carl von Langen. The Parow estate gave its name, as the Langen people often called themselves Langen-Parow .

From 1800 the family with Friedrich Franz Ludwig von Langen belonged to the Swedish knighthood, the introduction took place in 1802. After the family had been resident in the region for a hundred years, Ludwig Philipp Otto von Langen, lord of Neuhoff, received the rights of the native Mecklenburg nobility in 1826. The elevation to the Prussian baron class took place in 1839. In 1920 Alt Plestlin came into the family through inheritance .

In the registration book of the Dobbertin monastery there are six entries by daughters of the von Langen families from Neuhoff, Klein Belitz and Groß Labenz from 1828 to 1888 for inclusion in the noble women's monastery there .

 Blazon : “Shield quartered. One and four: in blue a golden griffin stridingto the right, which holds a black grenade witha strikingred flame in the right front claw and three silver roses in the left (divided into two and one). "

Variations are white instead of silver roses, or a silver sloping bar over the whole shield, three green rose buds in a bundle and a missing ribbon over the coat of arms.
