Lars-Erik Englund

Lars-Erik Englund (born March 23, 1934 in Orsa , † October 19, 2010 in Stockholm ) was a Swedish Lieutenant General and from 1988 to 1994 commander of the Swedish Air Force .

Life

Lars-Erik Englund joined the Swedish Air Force in 1952 and was trained as an officer in 1958 . After various posts, he was promoted to colonel in 1979 and major general in 1983 . Among other things, he commanded the F 16 squadron in Uppsala from 1981 to 1983 and the Eastern Defense sector from 1983 to 1986. After leaving the Air Force, he worked as an advisor to the Ministry of Defense and at Linköping University .
