The Laufnitzgraben is a village in the area of the cadastral municipality of the same name in the municipality of Frohnleiten in the Austrian state of Styria . The Laufnitzgraben has no residents on an area of 1,582.82 hectares, and the Laufnitzbach flows through the village.
Most of the area consists of forests and alpine pastures, most of which belong to the Baron family Goëss-Saurau , who live in Frohnleiten . The Laufnitzgraben is best known for the Wieser Alm , which always attracts many hikers in summer. The cadastral community is only connected to Laufnitzdorf by the gravel road of the same name . The Laufnitzgraben is seven kilometers from the center of Frohnleiten.
