Lauren Barnes (born May 31, 1989 in Arcadia , California ) is an American soccer player who has been under contract with Seattle Reign FC in the National Women's Soccer League since the 2013 season .
Career
In the 2011 season, Barnes played for WPS affiliate Philadelphia Independence . She was signed in early 2013 in the Supplemental Draft for the newly founded NWSL in the second round in tenth place by Seattle Reign FC . She made her league debut on April 14, 2013 against the Chicago Red Stars .
In January 2014, she moved on loan until the end of the 2013/14 Australian season for first division club Melbourne Victory , with whom she was able to win the championship final. In both Melbourne playoff games, Barnes scored one goal each. Then she returned to Seattle and reached the play-off final against FC Kansas City with the Reign in the 2014 season . In the winter of 2014/15, Barnes is again on loan to Melbourne.
National team
Barnes was a member of the US youth national teams in the ages U-15, U-20 and U-23. At the beginning of 2016 she won the SheBelieves Cup with the United States senior team, but was not used during the tournament.
