Lenka Dürr (* 10. December 1990 in Memmingen ) is a German Volleyball - national player .

Career

Lenka Dürr's first volleyball club was TV Kaufbeuren. Dürr achieved regional successes such as the Swabian E-Youth Championship in 2002 with the neighboring SV Mauerstetten, which is known for its excellent youth work. After being promoted from the regional league to the Bavarian league with the SVM adult team, the Memmingen native moved to the FTSV Straubing in the second division. After only one season, Lenka Dürr left Straubing and has since played for the Rote Raben in Vilsbiburg.

From now on, Libera went up the career ladder: European youth champion 2007, German champion 2008 , German cup winner and junior world champion 2009. In addition, they reached the CEV Final Four with Vilsbiburg and third place at the Volleyball World Grand Prix and fourth place at the European Championships with the German national team in 2009. In the same year, the student was voted Libera of the year. In 2010 , Lenka Dürr repeated the German championship with the Rote Raben and reached the round of 16 in the Challenge Cup 2009/10 . In 2011, the Vilsbiburg woman won the silver medal at the European Championships with the German national team .

In 2013, Lenka Dürr left the Rote Raben and moved to Igtisadchi Baku in the Azerbaijani Super League . With the national team she took first place in the Europa League in the same year and was again vice European champion . In 2014 she won the tournament in Montreux with the national team and was named the best defender and best Libera. She then finished second in the Europa League and ninth at the World Cup in Italy . Then Dürr moved within Azerbaijan from Igtisadchi to Azeryol Baku and in 2015 to Impel Wrocław in Poland .

In 2016 she returned to the Bundesliga for Schweriner SC and won the German championship. In 2017/18 Dürr played in Romania for CSM Târgoviște . Since December 2018, she temporarily played again with the Rote Raben in the Bundesliga. For the 2019/20 season, Dürr announced her resignation from the national team and moved to Dresdner SC .

social commitment

Since August 2015 Lenka Dürr has been the ambassador of the Volleyball Without Borders association, which supports children and young people in economically weak regions.
