occupation

Les Dalton is a Franco-German-Spanish Western - Comedy by Philippe Haïm from 2004, based on the famous comic series Lucky Luke by Morris and René Goscinny based.

action

The four Dalton brothers are absolutely unsuccessful as bandits. The times when banks were robbed by them are long ago. Despite good advice from mom, who robs stagecoaches for her extra income, none of the coups they planned work out. Instead, they end up in jail. After their prison sentence, they hear about a magical sombrero that would make it easy to carry out theft again. So the crooks go looking. However, they are followed by the fast-shooting cowboy Lucky Luke. Nevertheless, the four manage to clear the most secure bank in the West. In a final duel with Lucky Luke, however, their magic sombrero suddenly fails, so they can be caught.

criticism

“Unsuccessful comedy staged as a number revue with the French comedians Eric and Ramzy, which is composed of set pieces from the comic models, borrowings from Westerns and excursions into computer animation, without any funny or entertaining scenes. Even appealing secondary characters and the original color and camera design cannot save the film. "

"Lukewarm infusion and tired parody!"

- Rolf Breiner : cineman.ch

Others

Til Schweiger admitted in an interview a year after the clear failure that the film was embarrassing to him in retrospect. You couldn't read from the “super funny” script that this would be “a pretty silly film”.
