Liebig commemorative coin

The Liebig commemorative coin is an award that commemorates the chemist Justus von Liebig . It was donated in 1903 by the Association of German Chemists . Since 1950 it has been awarded at irregular intervals by its successor organization, the Society of German Chemists , to important university and industrial researchers.

The prize is endowed with 7,500 euros (as of 2012).

Award winners

Among the winners there is only one woman (as of 2020), Ida Noddack (1931).
