Lil 'Flip (* 3. March 1981 ; actually Wesley Eric Weston Jr. ) is an American southern states - rapper from Houston , Texas .

Career

Wesley Weston grew up in the Cloverland Neighborhood and was soon active in freestyle battles and eventually discovered by DJ Screw . As part of the HSE (Hustlaz Stackin 'Endz) crew, he got the chance to produce music. His debut album The Leprechaun sold over 100,000 copies and gained national recognition.

The following album, Undaground Legend, was an even bigger hit and went platinum . The album U Gotta Feel Me , of which the rapper sold 2 million copies, also went platinum .

Lil 'Flip had an argument ( beef ) with TI for a long time , as both claim the title "King of the South" for themselves. TI accused Lil 'Flip of rapping an area (Hood), among other things, where he did not grow up. After a one-to-one conversation, the two musicians ended their argument. However, a time later, Lil 'Flip had wagered against Paul Wall and Slim Thug . The argument with Slim Thug is over, the one with Paul Wall is at its peak.

After arguments about the release of the album I Need Mine , the label change from Sony / Columbia to Warner . Shortly afterwards the album was available for download . Since then, Lil 'Flip has been working on a revised version of I Need Mine $$ . This was published in the USA on March 27, 2007 by Asylum / Warner, comprises 37 tracks and is a double album with a total playing time of 140 minutes. It has sold over 89,000 times in the United States.
