Post office The post office was set up as a large courtyard in 1787. The stables were built around 1800 and renovated in the 19th century. Due to the size of the stables, it must be assumed that horses will be frequently unhitched and that there will be many transfers. Up to 42 horses were reserved here for the postal service. At that time, Schillerslage was on Neuer Postweg, on the B 3 there is still an inscription stone with the inscription "König L. Wegbau". The postal service was stopped in 1860 due to the increasing competition from the new Lehrte – Celle railway line. On March 29, 1787, the postman's son, Philipp Carl Sprengel, was born in the Posthof . He is considered to be the founder of the mineral theory, according to which the nutrients removed from the soil are to be replaced. Post office
