List of the FDP federal main committees

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The list of the FDP federal main committees contains all federal main committees of the Free Democratic Party in the years 1949 to 1994. The federal main committee was referred to as the so-called "Small Party Congress".

The Federal Main Committee usually met twice a year, mostly for one day in public. Occasionally he met in public; in 1962, 1976, 1980 and 1982 it did not meet at all. According to the federal statutes of 1968, the federal main committee had a total of 125 elected members, 63 of them according to the number of members of the regional associations and 62 according to the number of votes cast in a federal state in the last federal election. Its task was to resolve all political and organizational issues that arose in the course of the financial year and that were not decided by the federal party congress. He was also responsible for monitoring the implementation of and observance of the party program and the resolutions of the federal party congress, the election of the members of the election review committee and the chairman as well as the deputy of the federal constitution committee. The body was deleted from the federal statutes in 1997. Most of the 75 meetings took place in Bonn and Mainz; two meetings of the federal main committee were canceled. The Federal Main Committee met three times as Europe Day.
