Bad Brambach coat of arms

The list of cultural monuments in Bad Brambach contains the cultural monuments of the Saxon community of Bad Brambach that were recorded by the State Office for Monument Preservation of Saxony until May 2019 (excluding archaeological cultural monuments). The notes are to be observed.

This list is a subset of the list of cultural monuments in the Vogtland district .

Duel stone Röthenbach

Marked 1703, later changed Monument to local history. Granite stele on a square ground plan, protruding base, pyramidal top, inscription "1703". Memorial stone commemorates a duel in which a gentleman von Schirnding zu Brambach was involved and died in 1703, the location was originally marked by a tree in which a cross and the year 1703 were cut, later by a stone cross (after the tree was felled has been). When a cross arm broke off, it is said to have been reworked into the obelisk that has now been preserved. 08980477

Marked 1864 Triangulation column; 1st order station, in the Kapellenberg tower, of significance in terms of surveying history and technology history. The former observation point is located on the second floor of the observation tower, the floor area of ​​this floor is sawn out accordingly. The cover plate is completely preserved. It can be assumed that the column was renovated in the course of the tower construction. Similar to the station on Keulenberg, it is made of several granite blocks. 1931 Historical and landscape-defining significance. In 1864 a fixed point for European degree measurement was erected on the Kapellenberg, with a wooden stand, an observation tower built in 1931, a five-storey observation tower on a square floor plan. The ground floor is broadened, with four rectangular windows on each of the four sides. First to third floor a rectangular window on each side, fourth floor cantilevered, ribbon of windows each consisting of seven rectangular windows, entire building boarded up, tent roof, wooden window frames, wooden entrance door. Tower erected on the summit of Kapellenberg (highest elevation in the Elster Mountains, 795 m), parts of the wall of the old stone chapel have been preserved, in the place of which the tower was erected (southern slope). 1968 Tower closed to visitors, 1982 Tower from the then civil defense of Oelsnitz / V. blown up, resurrected in 1993 based on old construction plans. 08980013
