List of countries by rail network
The following list of countries by railway network sorts countries according to the total length of their railway network in kilometers at the last determinable point in time. Underground networks are not included here. The countries with the longest high-speed rail network are also given. The source for all data is the CIA World Fact Book .
Countries according to the length of the rail network
If information is available, it will indicate how long the electrified rail network is. Not all existing rail networks have to be in use.
