List of religious buildings in Wroclaw
The list of religious buildings in Wroclaw includes church buildings within the Wroclaw city limits from the beginning of the 21st century. The compilation also lists the church buildings that no longer exist, but does not claim to be complete.
description
The list can be sorted alphabetically according to the German church names (church patrons); it can also be sorted according to their year of construction, if known.
Buildings of all denominations or religions that are used for public worship or prayer are listed, both the existing and those that have passed away. The hundreds of places of worship include Catholic, Protestant and Orthodox churches, as well as Kingdom Halls of Jehovah's Witnesses , a synagogue and several Buddhist centers . The oldest preserved places of worship are the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist and St. Giles Church from the eleventh and twelfth centuries.
When rebuilding destroyed churches in the same place, the buildings are only listed once. Are not listed chapels that never attained the status of a church, and community centers or synagogues that were located in a typical residential or administrative buildings.
