The list of stumbling blocks in Leverkusen contains stumbling blocks that were laid by Gunter Demnig in Leverkusen as part of the art project of the same name . They are intended to commemorate the victims of National Socialism who lived and worked in Leverkusen.

Franz Kail had learned the trade of scythe-smith and was involved in the trade union movement and in the communist party after the end of the First World War. He became a community representative of the independent community Schlebusch. Since 1933 he has been arrested several times. He lived on Sandstrasse until he fled to the Netherlands in 1938. In 1941 he was arrested there and taken to the Sachsenhausen concentration camp, where he succumbed to abuse on March 12, 1942.
