List of advertising locomotives of the Swiss Federal Railways

The SBB own a wide range of vehicles with advertising colors. Before 1994 there were only a few locomotives or wagons in a different color than the standard colors; However, this changed when the first Re 460 were given advertising paintwork. Various other vehicles were also given advertising paint, such as Re 420 or Re 450 .

Re 420

The Re 420 (Re 4/4 II ) was available in different colors due to its wide range of uses, e.g. B. to match Swiss-Express or TEE wagon material, green and red (sometimes also mixed, e.g. green with red air conditioning), or red with blue / white SBB Cargo lettering. However, these were all SBB's own color schemes, so these locomotives were not actually "advertising locomotives". There were only a few advertising locomotives. Another special case is the RTS locomotive 420 320. This was actually rented out on a long-term basis by SBB Cargo to Rail Traction Services (RTS), from which it was given a self-promotional paint job. However, after the bankruptcy of the RTS company, this locomotive was not overmolded and is temporarily keeping its orange paintwork (probably for 2–3 years).

Re 450

The Re 450 double-decker trains of the Zurich S-Bahn originally all wore a blue color scheme with a white stripe, red front and yellow doors. In addition to the color scheme change to red (double-decker wagons) or blue (Re 450) doors, there were various special versions of the Re 450 that promoted relaxed commuting, as well as two trains that were given a complete advertising color scheme.

Re 460

The original color scheme of all SBB Re 460 was red with a white SBB logo on the side wall and the word "2000" on the front. Today, all Re 460 no longer run in red with the "2000" logo. The front of these is not labeled. Some locomotives were later given different colors; these are listed here. The last entry corresponds to the current color scheme.
