The building on a moderate hillside dates from the 16th century and is divided into two parts. The components of the two-storey residential building are separated by three separate purlin roof trusses and an access zone in between. In the western half, the walled part on the valley side should form the core and probably the oldest part of the courtyard. The eastern half of the building was originally probably designed as a corner corridor house with a freestanding oven. Through real divisions, these components have then grown together to form a strongly structured, secondary middle-floor building . The three paneled rooms are all baroque, so the division into three residential units is likely to date from the end of the 18th century.

The facades are structured in various ways because of the complicated ownership situation. Only the substructures are bricked, above them block construction with boarding or plastering. The windows are very different.

The pilgrimage has been documented since 1150 and, according to legend, goes back to the year 427, when woodcutters discovered the miraculous image in a tree. The pilgrimage church and former parish church is a simple Gothic, presumably Romanesque core, with pointed-arched windows. On the west facade is a neo-Romanesque portal with an Annunciation mosaic from 1910 in the tympanum and above it the depiction of the miraculous image as a mosaic. The Gothic wall paintings on the south side with the hll. Christophorus and Georg date from the end of the 14th century. Inside, the flat-roofed nave and the five-sided, rib-vaulted apse are separated by a basket-arched, chamfered triumphal arch . Parts of the complete painting from the end of the 14th century with scenes from the life of Jesus and Mary as well as depictions of saints were exposed in 1960–1962.
