Long Distance (literally: large distance ) is a pop song by the American singer Brandy . The ballad from the album Human , released in 2008 as a second single , was written by Bruno Mars and produced by Mars together with Rodney "Darkchild" Jerkins .

content

The title deals with the problems of long-distance relationships . The artist commented on the content of the song as follows:

“Whether it's a significant other or your daughter, a lot of people are away from the people they love, (...) I met some lady, and she was telling me her husband is away in Iraq right now. I was like, 'I have the perfect song for you.' Just being in a long-distance relationship, that experience is weird. You're not able to have that time, and you need that time ”

“Regardless of whether it is their partner or their daughter, many people are separated from the people they love (...) I met a woman and she told me that her husband was in Iraq at the moment. I just: 'I have the perfect song for you'. Only the experience of such a long-distance relationship is strange, because you don't have the time you need [with each other] "
