Love Field - Love Without Borders , also Love Field - Field of Love , is an American film drama by Jonathan Kaplan with Michelle Pfeiffer in the main role at the 1992 Oscars in the category Best Actress nomination.

Housewife Lurene Hattle's life revolves around Jacqueline Kennedys , who, like her, lost a child. She is in despair when President John F. Kennedy is shot dead hours after Laurene saw him arrive in Dallas. Although her husband Ray forbids it, she decides to attend the funeral in Washington, DC . Forced to travel by bus, she befriends Jonell, the young daughter of black group member Paul Cater. When she discovers scars on the girl, false suspicions, the intervention of the FBI, and a developing, then forbidden love affair between the white Lurene and Paul now lead the mixed group on an increasingly complicated adventure to Washington, while Lurene's husband and the police force pick up the track.

Although the film was produced in 1990, it wasn't released until 1992 due to financial loss. Love Field was filmed primarily in Rocky Mount and Wilson , North Carolina . Denzel Washington was originally slated for the role of Paul Cater. He lost the role to Dennis Haysbert shortly before filming . Lurene Hallet's character is based on Don Roos ' own mother.

Awards
