Lucia Figueroa

Lucia Figueroa (* 1945 in Córdoba , Argentina ) is an Argentine sculptor .

Life

From 1965 to 1969, Lucia Figueroa attended the Escuela de Arte in her native city of Córdoba, where she set up a studio in 1970 . From 1975 to 1980 she studied sculpture at the Academy of Arts in Berlin and was a master student at Lothar Fischer . From 1981 she had a studio in Osterhever on the North Sea - Eiderstedt peninsula . In 1987/1988 she stayed in Ghana and in 1991 received a scholarship from the Fundació Llorens Artigas , Barcelona , Spain. She has been working in her studio in Husum , North Frisia, since 1995 . In 2004 she received a recognition award from the Dr. Karl-Heinz and Eva Hoyer, Schleswig , and was Artist in Residence in the Culture Campus at Danube University Krems in Austria .
