Ludger Klimek

Ludger Klimek (born November 8, 1964 in Bottrop ) is a German doctor, non-fiction author , university professor and publicist .

Life

After graduating from high school , Ludger Klimek enrolled at the Rheinisch-Westfälische Technische Hochschule Aachen , graduated in medicine with a dissertation in computer-aided endonasal surgery and obtained a doctorate in medicine ( Dr. med. ) . During his studies he received a scholarship from February to October 1988 at the Institute for Immunology at the University of New South Wales in Sydney and from September 1990 to March 1991 as an external student at Tulane University in New Orleans ( Louisiana ).

In 1998 habilitated it with the habilitation The allergic rhinitis - New aspects in pathophysiology , diagnosis and treatment of Professor at the Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz . He completed several years of further training in ear, nose and throat medicine at the regional medical association responsible as an ENT specialist with additional qualifications in allergology , environmental medicine and plastic operations.

During his studies he worked as a research assistant in the research laboratory of the Clinic for ENT Medicine and Plastic Head and Neck Surgery at RWTH Aachen University from 1987–1992 and then from 1992–1999 as a research assistant and senior physician at the ENT University Clinic of the Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz. He then became head of the Center for Rhinology and Allergology in Wiesbaden and holder of the professorship for Special Rhinology, Allergology and Environmental Medicine at the Medical Faculty Mannheim at the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg . Since 2010 he has been working as an attending physician at the Main-Taunus-Privatklinik in Bad Soden am Taunus .
