Ludwig Friedrich (actor)

Ludwig Friedrich , also Lutz Friedrich (born January 7, 1908 in Kleinaugezd , † June 30, 1971 in Berlin ) was a German actor and director .

Life

Ludwig, often simply called Lutz Friedrich, studied with Otto Bernstein in Dresden from 1926 to 1929 . He got his first engagement as an actor in Teplitz-Schönau , then he worked for a few years as a freelance artist and worked in Gera from 1937 . Later stations were the Maxim-Gorki-Theater Magdeburg as well as the municipal theaters and the theater of the Junge Welt in Leipzig , where he was already active as a director. The artist could also be encountered in numerous television productions.

In 1957, Ludwig Friedrich finally came to the Berlin Theater of Friendship , to which he had been an actor and director for 14 years. In 1971 he died after a short, serious illness at the age of only 63.
